Clemson University Cemeteries – Clemson, SC

This project began in 2023 when some Clemson University staff members reached out about our cemetery software. The university manages one 15.5-acre cemetery as well as several small cemeteries. They were most interested in digitizing Woodland Cemetery, which had a long and complex history with hundreds of unmarked graves. More recently, the grave spaces have been used for university staff members and their family members. Worth noting, it is directly adjacent to the Clemson University Football Stadium.

The University issued a formal RFP in May 2024. CIMS submitted a proposal and won this bid after competing with other cemetery software providers. Part of the reason we won this project is the “Accessibility” features we added to Burial Search in the summer of 2024. Over the next few months, mapping was completed for this project, and it went live in April of 2025.
