The Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery has been using a competitor’s cemetery software (HMIS) since the early 2000s. This software requested that they upgrade to the newest version and had significant costs to do so. Since they would be going through a disruption to their business regardless of which software they went to, the cemetery took this opportunity to look at other cemetery software packages. They were already familiar with CIMS because it was used to manage another cemetery under their purview and made the decision to switch in the Spring of 2021. The mapping for this project was wrapped up in November of 2021, and after a data migration from HMIS, they went live with CIMS Professional in January of 2022. They have already purchased additional licenses of the software and truly value the “next level” mapping that CIMS Professional provides.
