Recently. Tim Annear joined us as a GIS Analyst! Tim will be helping out with cemetery mapping projects and technical support. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in GIS. He's been working in the geospatial field ever since. For the first few years after school he traveled the country collecting, analyzing, and delivering transportation data for different state Departments of Transportation. While doing so, he traveled to 39 different states and most of the major Hawaiian islands. While not working or traveling, he enjoys running, playing sports, camping, and cheering for his favorite Wisconsin sports teams! We're excited to have Tim join the team, and are confident his expertise will make him a valuable asset to the CIMS team.
Across much of the country, it has been a very rainy spring. The high amounts of rain has caused drainage issues for many of our clients. Ramaker & Associates have the expertise to provide services necessary related to your cemetery's existing drainage concerns. We perform topographic surveying services to determine existing conditions, as well as roadway design, storm drainage grading and piping design, stormwater detention facility design, irrigation piping design, and cemetery plot layouts.
You may have noticed that Rachel Tygum has moved on from Ramaker & Associates. She is devoting her time to working at her family business and spending more time with her kids. She will be greatly missed and we are so grateful for her many years of service here at Ramaker. Her expertise was greatly valued, and we hope you join us in wishing her the best in her future pursuits!
As you may already know, much of RAMAKER's focus over the past three years has been on our newest software product for the cemetery industry, CIMS Cloud. We've been working diligently to move our desktop clients to the Cloud, and over the past few months, we reached some significant milestones. Today, we have 313 cemeteries live on CIMS Cloud, and a total of 1,012 cemeteries using our software. The majority of our new clients are choosing to use CIMS Cloud due to its ease of use, reliability, and convenience in addition to the time it saves them.
Many of our clients are not aware that the company behind CIMS, Ramaker & Associates, provides many services in addition to their cemetery software. RAMAKER is a full service engineering firm that provides services to both public and private sector clients. With offices in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and New Jersey, RAMAKER is ready to help with your cemetery design projects, land surveying, or even master planning. With projects ranging from large to small and from private development to municipality support, RAMAKER is here to provide services that improve the quality of life in our local communities. Ultimately, we strive to serve our clients through proper study, planning, design and construction of superior civil projects.

2018 was an incredible year! This video shows a few of the interesting projects we worked on, and we're looking forward to an amazing 2019
Back in 2011, we did a survey in the newsletter to gauge people's attitude toward the Cloud. At that time, we were considering developing a new version of CIMS, but we were unsure about how our clients would feel about their cemetery data being stored somewhere else. In addition, at that time, "the cloud" was not as prevalent as it is now, with it frequently being mentioned in commercials or other advertisements. A few weeks ago, we asked the exact same questions again to see how attitudes had changed.
Earlier this year, Ramaker opened a new Office in Woodcliff Lake, NJ to better serve our clients in the east. There currently are five employees in the division, and Debbie Gotthart is available to assist CIMS customers. We are so excited to assist our clients from our new location!
For all clients that use CIMS Cloud or CIMS Light Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the company that that hosts the cemetery maps and data. To ensure that Ramaker is best utilizing the features and functionality of AWS, Curtis Paul and Nathan Cavanagh went to the AWS Summit in Chicago a few weeks ago.
Currently, Ramaker has 46 Cloud Clients using our eCIMS Service. eCIMS is an online service that allows the public to look up information about burials and owners in their cemeteries.
In the 30 day period from June 1, 2018 to June 30, 2018, our eCIMS sites had 4,073 Visitors. The most popular cemetery had 563 visitors to their eCIMS site during this time period.
